HF filtering on a digital input port

Q: Digital inputs (especially the “Pulse counter”) can suffer from HF noise. Can it be reduced?

A: Since the digital pulse inputs are interrupt driven, best way is preventing HF signals entering the data logger.

T: HF suppression can be archived using a simple RC filter, with a resistor in series in the data line and a small capacitor parallel on the used X3 port.  The filter components can be built into the data logger housing.
