Q: The fuse on the ML-417xxx main board has gone defect. Type: “T 2A”.
T: Don’t use a ohm meter to check if the fuse is defective.
Use a volt meter to check the voltage readings on both sides on the fuse to ground. The values should read (almost) identical when the data logger is under heavy load. (When the modem is powered-up).
A: Blown or defective fuse can be replaced. Order a 2A, fast acting fuse, “0453002.MR”, from manufacturer “Littlefuse”, at your local electronics store.
T: Before replacing the fuse, pull the power cord (the red and black cable) from the main board.
The fuse is located at number “2” on the main board. (Data Logger Manual, section “models and editions”).

T: To avoid damage to the Main board, use a tool to retract the fuse from the board, NOT a screwdriver.
