Replace the Power board fuse

Q: The fuse on the power SLA / NiMH / LiBA /DC /PV board has gone defect.

T: Don’t use a ohm meter to check if the fuse is defective.

Use a volt meter to check the voltage readings on both sides on the fuse to ground. The values should read (almost) identical when the data logger is under heavy load. (When the modem is powered-up).

A:  A blown or defective fuse can be replaced.

Find your power board type in this manual, look for “power” or “battery” fuse.

When found, order (depending on the board type) a 4A, “0454004.MR”,  or a 2A, “0454002.MR” fast or slow acting fuse. Manufacturer is  “Littlefuse”, available at your local electronics store.

T: ML-PB-LI and ML-PB-3LI board’s don’t have fuses on the board. Fuses are integrated in the Lithium battery’s.

Before replacing the fuse, pull the power cord (the red and black cable) from the main board.
