Usage of a Pot(entio)meter to test without Sensor

Q: Is it possible to test a Data Logger configuration without a Sensor?

A: Yes, a Potmeter can be used to simulate a Sensor and test the configuration.

Setup the PM (Potmeter) port on Analog input X1 and link the PM to the -to be simulated- Sensor output.

T: On the Analog Connector X1, the three rightmost connector pins (GND, PM and PR) can be used to connect a Potmeter.  The connections and lay-out is shown below. The PR is delivering 3,30V Potmeter Reference Voltage.

Configure PM Parameter Values and Offset ([6], [7] and [8], or [9]) to match the simulated Sensor output.

Configure the Simulated Sensor Parameter ([5]) to match the expected and to be tested Sensor Output and Alarm values.
