Q: How can a SDI12 address be changed using the data logger?
A: Connect the SDI12 sensor to the Ydoc SDI12 serial input port and sensor power.
Connect USB cable and open YdocTerminal
Goto [5] Maintenance menu, open [2] Serial port terminal menu and choose [3], SDI12.
Now, ask the sensor for the current address typing “?!”.
To change the current address, type <current_address> A <new_address> !
Check if the address has changed by asking for the current address again, typing “?!”.
The example below is showing the sequence, asking for the current address and
change it from 2 -> 1.
Configure the SDI12 driver on the Ydoc, with the new address in the port settings [2].
Perform the Test measurement [T] to confirm the sensor is working properly:
