The ydocDataCollector (TCP-Server) with secure authentication (CHAP), encryption (AES-128) and secure Tunnel-protocol is a Java application to collect log files from your YDOC data loggers. The advantage of using ydocDataCollector instead of a generic FTP-server is the fact that raw TCP communication has lesser overhead, resulting in lesser communication time and therefore causing lesser power consumption. Another big advantage is the possibility to be able to configure the loggers remotely from anywhere using any terminal emulator (e.g. telnet, hyperterminal or YDOC-Terminal).
