Data Logger – Low Power Notes
Here are some instructions for YDOC data logger which will help to cut on power for your measurements setup.
- In “General settings” Set your “Data logging interval” as high as possible
- In “General settings” Set “Continuous alarm sampling” to “Off” (If used, Set your Sensor “Sample interval” as high as possible)
- Use “Alarm SMS” with great care, especially when configuring data alarm thresholds
- Don’t use “Network signal sensor”, or set “Independent data log” to “On” and set the “Data log interval” equal to your “Data send interval”
- If you use “GPS”, set “Independent data log” to “On” and set the “Sample log interval” as high as possible
- Set your Sensor “Sample interval” as high as possible or equal to your “Data logging interval” >> It prevents repeatedly sensor on during data sending
- Set your Sensor “Warm up time” to the shortest time possible (0 or 0.25 sec if possible)
- Set your “Data send interval” as high as possible
- In “Internal sensors” use the parameters “Rest Capacity”, “Average Current”, “Min Voltage” and “Operating Cycle” to monitor low power behavior
- Never leave the USB connected to your PC >> Logger doesn’t sleep when the user interface to your USB is active
